Format/Quick (erase) Diskette (A) Drive

My I suggest always buy the formatted diskettes. If you find yourself with unformatted diskettes follow the steps below.

From your Desktop:

1. Double Click on My Computer Icon:
NOTE: Your icon may not look like this one.

2. Highlight the 3½ Floppy (A:)

3. Right Click:

4. Click on Format:

5. Click on Start:

Note: Under Format type select Quick (erase) or
select Full to Format your floppy disk.

Auto Arrange Icons
If your desktop is cluttered with icons, follow this simple tip to clean it up.
1. Right-click on an empty part of the desktop.
2. Select Auto Arrange
3. Your desktop icons automatically arrange in orderly rows.
Any new icon you add will appear in one of the rows.

Create a New Folder
1. Click on a blank area on your desktop.
2. Right click, then highlight New then click on New.

That's it! The default folder name is "New Folder". To change the default name highlight the folder you have just created right click then click on Rename.

Give your eyes a break and make your icons larger by following these directions:

2. Double-click the Display icon and select the Effects tab in the Display Properties dialog box.
3. Under Visual Effets, place a checkmark in the box next to "Use large icons."
