If your Windows operating system locks up, freezes or you have a system crashes, don't press the reset button do this:
Press and hold the Ctrl + Alt Keys then press the Delete Key
( do not use the + )
This is what's call the "Three Finder"

ScanDisk
If you've ever accidentally turned off a PC without going through the required protocol, then you've experienced the ScanDisk. This program detects hard drive errors after an improper shutdown and fixes them. You can also use this utility at any time to find files that no longer have associations and to get rid of them.
To use ScanDisk, follow the these directions:
 1. Single-click the Start button, mouse-over Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then click ScanDisk.
2. Under the type of test, click Standard. (I use Standard once a week and the Thorough once a month.
3. Click Start to begin scanning your hard drive. Uncheck "Automatically fix errors" if you'd like to specify how ScanDisk repairs errors it finds. I uncheck this.

Turn Folder into Toolbar
To turn a folder into a toolbar, follow these directions:
1. Single-click on the folder, hold the left mouse button down.
2. Drag the folder to the right edge of the screen and release the mouse button.
3. You just made a toolbar out of a folder. To close the toolbar, find the line at the top, right-click on it, and choose "Close". I find turning "My Computer" into a toolbar.
